A surplus of heat marks the equatorial
and tropical latitudes, bringing forth the energy to carry along winds, evaporating and carrying substantial amounts of seawater in the process. Due
to a surplus of water vapour, gathering of trade winds and recurrent
convection, heavy rains seen in the tropics are produced. Not restricted to
low-latitude weather systems, the thermometer seen in the picture represents
the general concept of weather tracking and humanity’s preoccupation with
weather systems.
