Continents drift, and as these landmasses
pull apart, or together, volcanoes and earthquakes can come about as a result. Landmasses
thicken due to movement of the plates, and like Jasper’s Athabasca Glaciers,
form towering structures. If we were to hypothetically remove ten percent of
the upper mountain, the landmass would lift as a result of isostasy.
